With the way technology goes there are always new things, new ideas, new gadgets and who knows what else in demand. Better this, better that! Never seen before, never been filmed before, techniques never been used before. And so the list goes on! Maybe the news that we have to share with you is not that extreme but we sure are pretty stoked about it. We have two new very exciting things on the TimeLapse SA forefront...

We've put together a short lttle video showing the features and capabilities of the Motion Control kit that we use.

We finally put together a "Cheat Sheet" with a guideline and starting point to get the correct speed and distance on your Shukuma DOLLY. Keep this list in your gadget bag to make your life a whole lot easier when setting up a shot ;-)

Here we are at the "last week" of 2012 - or at least the last week where you can still try and get something done here in SA. If I just think about the loads of things that need to happen in this week, I get scared....

As you all know by now, the first 10 proud owners of the Shukuma dolly received their units and started playing with their kits.  We have a few small glitches that crept in but NOTHING that can not be fixed or overcome.

The first suggestion I have for you all is to change the RPM of the motor!

The assembly is in full force and the first 10 units are being assembled and packaged, ready for shipping.

The SMC motion controller is now complete!
The box has been finalised and it's now ready to be sold. The neatly finished, durable plastic box also have a protective cover over the screen.  This helps to keep out some moisture and dust.

The price per unit will be R2000 incl. the camera cable of your choice. The SMC can be ordered separately.
